The Maritime Classic Boat Museum has an extensive collection which can be broken down into:

1. Permanent Collections: Accessioned, fully documented, preserved and conserved as part of the museum’s legacy to our future generations. Infinite life.
   
2. Education: Cataloged but not considered precious or rare. Used in educational programs to show visitors how, what, where and why. Can be passed around, touched and used as a teaching tool. These have a finite life and may or may not be replaced as programs evolve.
   
3. Boat Shop Surplus: Objects that have no inherent value but can be used for parts or demonstration pieces in the boat building, boat restoration, engine rebuilding or boat model areas of the museum’s program. These, when redone, can be sold to provide a revenue stream for these teaching programs.
   

Objects

The Maritime Museum has an overall object inventory of approximately 1,000—1,200 objects. These objects fall within the following broad categories:

Outboards

The Museum has a number of antique outboard engines, including Evinrudes, Elto's, and Johnson engines.

Instruments

The Museum also has an interesting collection of antique navigational tools like sextants, a palarus and other instruments.
